What's A Plural System?

Plurality is the experience of being "more than one" existing within one body. The group experiencing plurality is called a plural system.Many, if not most, are familiar with the concept of Dissociative Identity Disorder-- usually (and unfortunately) because of negative portrayals in movies, TV shows, and other media. DID is one way of experiencing plurality. There are other kinds, too; some are formed by trauma, some aren't. It's not always a disorder. Many systems exist peacefully (even happily) as they are, or desire to work towards that.Despite popular misconceptions, plurality isn't rare, it isn't dangerous, nor is it "faked" by teens on social media. As more are educated on the subject and society becomes more accepting, more systems are opening up about themselves. This is normal, and happens with all stigmatized conditions and identities! Please never accuse anyone of "faking", regardless of who they are or how they behave.Just keep an open mind, and talk civilly with systems if there's something you don't understand. :) Most systems are happy to answer well-meaning questions.While all plural systems have their own preferred terms and ways of being addressed, we here ask to be treated as separate, unique people, and not "parts" or "alternate personalities". We all have our own pronouns, genders, likes/dislikes, and even appearances. Mission Statement

We, and thus our platform, aim for inclusion of all good-faith identities. We welcome people of many paths, and of all sizes and shapes and appearances. We will not tolerate intolerance, however, or abuse directed at people who are simply trying to live their lives. Gaming, and gaming communities, should be safe for marginalized communities and their allies.
